Comic Book Sample

It is done! The first test sample for my first Bosoms-comicbook!
Much needs to be changed though, but looking good so far. It really ‘feels’ different to see the comics in physical form. No surprise there ofcourse: it feels nice to be able to touch the bosoms! (Bad joke, I know…).
My plan is to pick as many as possible from the first 100 cartoons and publish them as a comic book this year.
I also have a plan for another comic book about a completely different subject – but I am still designing the characters for that, and first I need to figure out what would be the best way to publish a book: Self-publish as an ebook by print-on-demand? Photoprint at Blurb? Or going to a real publisher and get an ISBN number and everything?
The most important thing for me is that I can have the freedom of which cartoons to pick and I want total control when it comes to creating the look of the book. Tips are welcome!

I have been making comics about my bosoms for one and a half year now. And still the pain is killing me.
I am one of those few people who have incredibly bad luck: I have nerve pain.
This is because one or more nerves in my chest responded very badly to the mastectomy, quite a taboo among transgender people. I have NO happy message. I am in continuous agonizing pain in my chest: it feels like underneath my armpit a knife is sticking in, and my chest itself is constantly in burning pain all around the scar, plus there is an oversensitive spot going towards my belly that cannot be touched, not even by the clothes I am wearing.
I want this to end. I thought the operation would make my life better but becasue of all this terrible pain it’s worse now.
Nothing helps, not even my sense of humor and the making of comic strips, but it’s nice to have them as a distraction, but while making them I feel the pain.
I cannot even sit still normally; my posture is all wrong. I twisted a muscle in my back because of it.
Luckily my friend Joran is a physiotherapist. He’s the one in the cartoon.
It took me hours and hours trying to get his face right – and it still only has a slight resemblance. Very difficult!
My computer even crashed and in the end I used many Photoshop distortions.
I finally chose number 3 because it fitted his body best.
Spot the differences!

A few weeks ago I had quite a pleasant experience in a gay cruising bar, where a guy started grabbing me, up to a point where I had to wonder: do I tell or not?
I decided not to use the T-word but break the news in a more suggestive way and said: “you will not find much down there…” So I left it for him to decide if this would be a problem. It wasn’t. But obviously he had no idea what was going on. He probably never even heard of transguys before. It made me feel a little unsafe and started wondering whether gay bars need more education on transmales. I’d surely like them to be supportive of cruising FTM’s in case anything bad happens! This left me with the idea of talking to Club Church and compiling my List of Golden Mixed Queerdom. They are now the first gay male sex club that is explicitly open to transmen! It makes me feel proud
But this is only the beginning: more testosterone-infused spaces will have to realize transmen are all around anyway. And regarding dark rooms and cruising zones: it’s quite an old subculture that seems to have its own rules and laws. Some of these feel strange when you’ve been socialised as a female. Things like: guys just start touching you without asking; saying ‘no’ isn’t immediately listened to; guys only seem to have very particular ‘types’ and even races they go for; etc.
Recently DUDE magazine was published: it’s a sexy and fabulous transmale magazine, featuring comics from Rooster Tails and with lots of interviews and information on transmale bodies, their diversity and how to love them.

What is happening to this world? Why ruin a perfectly wonderful genderneutral toy and turn it into something awful? In fact: it seems there is a rise of pink monstrosities, a wave of girlie princess-domination of gigantic proportions. It’s taking over the world. Perhaps these are the first signs of 2012? The end is nigh! Pastels are out to get you!

Wow, 2011 was quite the year for me. Lots of private drama – which actually has led me to a new idea for a comic strip.
Hopefully 2012 will be the year I will be publishing TWO comic books: ‘the best of the Bosoms’ and another one, the new idea, that I cannot tell you about yet. Let’s call it “the comic that shall not be mentioned”
